Posterous is an amazing way to create a content workflow, where you can email, sms or post via the web to your Posterous account and have it auto-post to any account you have set up on a variety of other platforms, including Wordpress, Drupal, Blogger, Twitter, and a bunch more. Specifying the account to post to is as simple as sending your email to a specific account, or multiple by using a plus sign in the email address.
The uses of this are tremendous, and include aggregating the Posterous feed into RSS search engines and other RSS distribution points.
Downside? Glad you asked. Since Posterous stores all media, you are somewhat stuck with them for all the posts you send out via Posterous, so if they are acquired or eventually close down you could have a problem. The workaround at this stage is to send text via Posterous, and edit the posts in the individual sites afterwards to add media.
